This week, to review numbers, I suggest all of you make up a game of "numbers bingo" (a 5x5 board) to play as a family. Non-native students need to know numbers 1-31 and can choose 25 out of those 31 numbers to fill in the squares. One family member will make 31 squares with numbers 1-31 on them and choose them randomly from a hat or ziploc bag. As that person calls out the numbers in Spanish only, it will force everyone playing to understand what each number is called in Spanish. It's a fun way to learn!
Study Skills I highly encourage all of my students to review at home what we covered in class. A great practice for this would be for the student to go home and try to teach somebody at home what they learned in class. For example, if a student can teach their parents how to introduce themselves in Spanish they are reviewing vocabulary, practicing pronunciation and showing mastery of that topic. We will have vocabulary and verb conjugations, for example, that anyone at home could "quiz" a student on. If a parent or guardian ever needs ideas on how to help their student, please feel free to reach out! All of our class vocabulary will be found in the "Class Updates" tab. |
